The itinerary we propose winds through the peaks of the Lepini Mountains, where the ancient villages of Sgurgola, Morolo, Supino and Patrica rise, surrounded by the lush vegetation of chestnut forests. Spectacular sunsets can be admired from their panoramic terraces, tinged with fiery red. These places are ideal for regenerating from stress and are also perfect for hiking adventures and climbing on Supino's famous cliffs. If you are an avid cyclist, test yourself on the infamous "Muro di Morolo," a steep climb that was part of the Giro d'Italia.

ANAGNI - SGURGOLA - MOROLO
Anagni, custodian of a history that has shaped our present, awaits you. As you stroll through the historic center, History emerges powerfully from the nooks and crannies, striking buildings and churches.

The Palazzo della Ragione (1159-1163), by Brescian architect Jacopo da Iseo, reveals influences from northern Italy. The borgo Castello encloses the fortress of the Papal Palace, the scene of the Outrage suffered by Pope Boniface VIII (1303), and the cathedral (12th cent.) with cosmatesque treasures and Roman frescoes from 1100 to 1250, narrating the theological and philosophical thought of the time.

Continuing to ride along the Lepini Mountains, we will encounter Sgurgola, a vertical town that climbs steeply between stairs, walls and narrow streets to the hermitage of San Leonardo. In Morolo, frescoes along narrow alleys and stairways tell the story of emigration to America in 1900.

SUPINE - PATRICA
Before reaching the historic center of Supino, visit the archaeological remains of the first-century AD Roman villa at "Cona del Popolo," with thermal environments and marble mosaics typical of the imperial age. Patrica, town of pilgrimages to San Cataldo and the Azalea Exhibition in May, offers nature and relaxation.

Pedaling to Ferentino, the ancient administrative capital of the Papal States, you will discover stately palaces and the Romanesque cathedral with a rich cosmatesque floor.

Gluttonous curiosity:

In Morolo, enjoy Gran Cacio and Ciambella, high quality cheeses. The polenta festival in January will surprise you in the typical wooden "scife."
